Why we backed Oshen
Oshen builds autonomous ocean-monitoring robots — small, long-endurance vessels that collect real-time data across vast stretches of sea that satellites can't resolve and crewed ships can't afford to cover. Ocean data underpins everything from offshore wind and shipping routes to defence and climate modelling, and almost all of it is still gathered the expensive way.
Concept wrote its first cheque at pre-seed, before the market caught up. The company's August 2026 seed round is the follow-through: the same thesis, now with vessels in the water and paying customers behind it.
